UPDATE**** She is about 3 minutes apart, they are breaking her water soon, so it shouldn't be to long after that!! (It's 2:45pm WA state time, on Thursday, 8/25/11)
UPDATE 2****It's 6:46 pm 8/25/2011 ((((( Kyce Michael is here!!)))) He weighs 6lbs. 13 oz. and is 19 inches long. Yeah:)))) A little more than 9 hours start to finish, not bad!
Meet Kyce Michael. This from my phone but you get the idea! Isn't he precious:) He is so sweet, and tiny! WE forget how small they are.

I thought you all might get a kick out of seeing some pictures from what we have been doing. This all takes a long time because my Hubby has a bad back, and with my back I am almost worthless. Except I did try to paint where I could reach from my chair! So I helped a little.
My grandson came over last week and painted the ceilings, and inside the closets, and anywhere high up. We still need to paint the closet doors. Finish some woodworking, and more painting of the new molding that will go around the whole floor and inside the closets.
Saturday we are going to order the new carpet. I am so excited to get that put in, it will be so pretty! Here's some pictures.
Here you can see where we tore out the wall between the two rooms. Lots of work, but kinda fun!!
In this picture you can see the finish molding on the wall we took out, we still have to do the other side.
In this picture you can see that there was once two separate rooms. Across the hall is another bedroom and a bathroom.
It will be great when this is all done. This is going to be our new bedroom upstairs. For the last year my husband has been in our old bedroom downstairs and I have been upstairs, because I can't go up and down the steps anymore. So now we can once again be together like we are supposed to be!! Hard part, is one of these rooms was my craft and sewing room. So a new plan must emerge! It'll be fine, I'll work it out:))
We are also getting a new TV for this bedroom. A big one that we are mounting on the wall, it is going to be really cool. We also need a new bed. I need to get a new mattress too. One for my horrible back!. If anyone knows anything about those air mattresses or the foam ones I would love to know what you think. I have had my back fused, and it did not fix whatever else is wrong. I have a bone disease that is eating my spine, so I can barely walk anymore, my husband has also had 2 back surgeries from injuries from his old job. We are falling apart!!
Never the less God is good and still in control! And we are very blessed!! In a few weeks after this room is finished I want to do something special for all of my friends. You will like it:))
Thank you to all of my sweet followers that come by to say Hi even when I don't put anything up new. You guys are so great, and I truly love each of you. Hugs, for now Pam
Oh my God Pam so much work...! I would have gone crazy!

Congrats on your new grandson! The remodel looks great. My husband has some problems with his back as well. We bought a sleep number bed a couple years ago and love it. We made the mistake of trying theirs first and no other bed compared.
ReplyDeleteLooks like the project is really coming along and I'm sure it will look great! How exciting to be a Grandma- keep us posted on the arrival! And as far as a mattress- we have had Select Comfort air mattress for the last 15 years- would I buy again- absolutely- one of the best purchases ever. I have a hard time sleeping on other beds. :)Amy
ReplyDeleteHi Pam,
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the new grandchild:) I also have back problems. I bought a Serta mattress and it was the best thing I ever did. It does not need to be rotated. I also bought a foam egg carton pad. The better mattress made a HUGE difference for my back. It did not completely solve the problem-but it was a major change. Good Luck. And enjoy the baby! http://visionsofpaper.blogspot.com/
Wow, Pam you have really done alot of work... I can relate to bad backs, my husband has had 6 back surgeries. It helped some, but he has some really terrible days but the good days still out number the bad, we can live with that! Look forward to when you post the finished room! Hang in there you two will be in that room before you know it!
