Thanks for being a great Dad !

This is a pretty simple card. The layering was not at all bad to do. Some images I find a real pain to put together because of all the tiny pieces. The phrase however was a pain!! I think it was my paper though. I used a line called The Paper Co. This paper works great for large cuts or to use as a base, but small cuts tear, or at least for me. To give credit where due I got the idea  from Mary at Cardz TV.

Recipe

  • A2 card base with Kraft cardstock.
  • White layer, white basic cardstock
  • Plaid layer is DCWV
  • Cartridge is Just Because Cards:  the top note is on pg. 55. Red is 3.75, and white is 3.50. The white one I ran through the cuttlebug with the swiss dots folder.
  • The melon also on pg. 55, was cut at 3.50 with all of it's layers.
  • The phrase also pg. 55, was cut at 2.50. I only cut it once out of red. The melon was popped up.
  • Inside says : I could say it a Melon times... Thanks for being a great Dad!

I found a challenge that requires the use of Kraft cardstock. So I entered this card at The Kraft Journal.

Father's Day Card #3

I made this card especially to put it in a challenge over at Cardz TV. I love her blog. I haven't been doing this blog and card making very long and she has taught me so much from her videos. I also found a few other new challenges to enter the card in. These other blogs have great DT's and interesting projects. Check them out too. At My Sheri Crafts, Whimsical Wednesday, and Amber's Crafts and Stuff. All of these blogs are wonderful.
 Recipe
  • A2 card base.  Frame in black. Background in cloud paper.
  • Plantin School Book:  for the waves
  • A Child's Year:  for the image
  • Sentiment was computer generated

Father's Day Card #2

This is another card I made for the Grand kids to give to their Poppy. It's a Z fold, and I added spots because we have a Dalmatian puppy dog named Dallas. The inside says Happy Father's Day Poppy. Simple card. I put this in the Paper Playtime Challenge. The challenge is for Z fold cards, any theme or colors.

Recipe

  • A2, Z fold card
  • Create a Critter  cut at 2.5 inches
  • Papers are all DCWV

I put this card in the: Paper Playtime Challenge

    Father's Day Card

This is my husband's Father's Day Card

My husband is a wonderful man. He spends virtually all of his time at home taking care of me, and our home. He never complains about it either. He deserves so much more than he has. I got him a Kindle to go along with his card. He loves to read. He goes through maybe 2-3 books a week. He also has a great sense of humor. He loves this stamp.

    Recipe

    • A2 twisted easel card base
    • Pattern paper is DCWV
    • Solid paper is Bazzill
    • Stamp is by Emerson
    • Sentiment stamp is a Hero Arts
