St. Patrick's Day

Everyone sit down so you don't  fall down!! Yes Pam is posting twice in one week!! I thought I would post a St. Patrick's Day card. I love this little guy, with his orange hair. You can't really tell but he is on an action wobble, so he dances:))

The picture is a little distorted so I apologize for my lack of picture taking skills. I am just so proud of myself to have been able to post twice this week.  Well here is my leprechaun. Susan asked me where my little man comes from, it's the Simply Charmed cart.  I love this cartridge!

I found a few challenges to put this in.  In DL.ARThttp://dianamlarson.blogspot.com/ you had to use a sentence from the history of St. Patrick, I used : St. Patrick's Day has come to be associated with everything Irish: anything green and gold, shamrocks and luck.

Another Halloween card!

This is a new Halloween card. I have done a few this past week. Some are just cute, A couple I did with skulls, I don't think I like them though. I am not a person who likes spooky stuff. I don't watch gore, or spooky stuff on TV, or videos. So these cards are way out of my comfort zone. I do find the cute ones cute however. I also think even cards with witches and ghosts and even ghouls can be cute too.

Anyway here is the card and as usual I will post the challenges at the end of this post. Which I probably will do tomorrow, we are moving things into our new room today and tomorrow. But I thought I would put up the card now.  I hope you all like it.

Please know how grateful I am to each and everyone of you that entered my giveaway. I will be doing random.org in a day or so, to find out which of my wonderful friends have won!!

So again here's the card.

I have not been doing much crafting the last week or so. We are remodeling our house so I have not been able to do much else. This is a pretty major remodel , so I will probably only post once a week for awhile. I will try to stop by some of my loyal followers, but if I am MIA for a bit this is why.

Here is the card, I hope you like it.  Hugs, Pam

You're Berry Sweet!

I had made some extra cherries when I had some time last week, and they came in handy this week. This card is a Z-fold. I like to make this style. And  it fits an A2 envelope, so you don't need a special size envelope to mail it.  The cherries are from Country Life.  The sun is from Doodlecharms, and the scallop and plain circles behind the cherries were cut from Mini Monograms. I used Swiss dots on the yellow one with my Cuttlebug.   The face on the sun is a PK stamp. The inside orange scallop is to write on, but you knew that! On the inside mat behind the cherries, I sometimes put a little pocket that holds a gift card, or cash.

Thank you for coming by my blog, and looking at my card. I appreciate every one of you so much:) When you comment or follow me I do not take it for granted.  You are all so special to me. Hugs, Pam

"Happy Happy Hippo" Birthday Card

Update: I won with this card Ch.# 101 at Paper Cutz Challenge. WOO WOO!!

(((( If some of my friends are looking for the awards I have for them go to July 19th)))).

This is a fun card to do. It is also my first shaped card. I used Birthday Bash, to get the shape for the card, and also for the ice cream eating "Happy Happy Hippo"!

The Circle is a die and I ran it through my cuttlebug with the tiny bubbles folder. Added some white yarn and green twine, colored brads, and google eyes. I am going to make another one and put it on a wobble, I should have this one.  No biggie I'll just add it to the next one. I always do at least 2 of each card I make anyway.

I will be putting it in some challenges, that I will list at the end of the post. Don't know which ones yet!  I hope you guys like it, Hugs, Pam

Gingham makes me happy! And a Award too!!

One of the challenges this week was for a "Joy fold" card. I happen to really like this technique. So I made this birthday card with a new Emerson, stamp I just got. I love these stamps. I am not an artist, not even close. So with these stamps you can do very little coloring, or a bit more, whatever you want and the images are cute either way. I didn't use my cricut at all, but I did use  an EK punch. I'll list the challenges at the end of my post as I usually do.  The paper was DCWV and Bazzill.

See isn't this a cute stamp?? I actually colored it more than I usually do. I like this punch too. It looks like lace to me.  The next picture will be the inside of the card.

The butterflies I cut from a piece of pattern paper that I had in my stash. I have no idea where it came from.
I added the red mat to have a place to write a message. I hope you like it:)))

The put this card in the following challenges:

Frosted Designs: Quote That!
Paper Cutz Challenge #100: "The Skies the Limit" (butterflies inside)
Crazy 4 Challenges C4C 96: Joy Fold Card
Gimme A Break Stamp Challenge #24: Stamp or product you've never used or rarely use(new stamp)
Birthday Sundaes Challenge # 18: Anything Goes

More Than Favors-Wacky Wednesday #45: Cricutless Challenge

I was also given a Best Friend Blogger Award from a sweet crafty friend named LaKesha @ Scrappin Diva.

She is a very special young woman. Not only is she very talented, she has a beautiful spirit!! Please go over to her site and give her some love. Be sure to leave her a comment and tell her I sent you, follower her too, she would love that. I am going to consolidate this with the other award I received. You can go here to see that if you wish to. Thank you again my sweet LaKesha. You are a blessing to me. Hugs, Pam

Summer Flowers

I made a card that was kinda fun to do. The cuts all come from the Country Life cartridge. I really liked the background paper. It was a piece in my stash so I don't remember where it came from, probably DCWV, but I'm not sure. I found some challenges for it,  that I will list at the bottom of the post.

I cut the clouds 3 times at 1.25" and 1 at 1.50" then I layered them with pop dots to give dimension to them. I inked the clouds with blue ink. The Happy Birthday is a little stamp I had. I don't know where I got it. The grass was cut twice and layered with pop dots in between the layers. The flowers and grass were cut at 3".  Very simple card. I hope you like it.
I am putting this card in the following challenges:

One Stop Craft Challenge #139: Summer Time
Crazy 4 Challenges C4C95: Summer Themed
Scrappy Frogs Challenge: Summer Flowers
Paper Playtime Challenge # 50: Summer

A Fruity Day Today

I was looking at some challenges and found a couple that I decided to make a card for. This one was really fun to do. Most of it comes from the Just because Cards cartridge.

The card base was cut at 5.50". The green layer I cut at 5.25" and then hand drew the scallops. I can hear you guys all yelling at me, your gypsy can do that for you!!  Yes if  only I knew how to work it. I really must do that soon too. The lemon is from the same cartridge, and cut at 3". The ovals were cut with my Spellbinder dies. The red oval I ran through my cuttlebug with the swiss dots folder. Buttons from my stash. Ribbon from JoAnns. Solid paper is Bazzill, the plaid paper is DCWV.

I will enter the card in the following challenges:

My Creative TimeThrowback Thursday #209: Use the Wild card or Just Because Cartridge
PaperPlay Challenge # 27: Fruity

A Birthday Card For a Friend

I needed to do a birthday card for a friend of mine who's big day is a couple weeks away. I was feeling pretty good, so when that happens I try to craft some. This is the card I made for her. I also found a few challenges that I could put it in. I will list them at the bottom of the post, as I usually do.

This card was really simple but it took a little time. I don't know if you can tell that the background is individual strips of various papers, that I glued on at a angle. The lady is a Emerson stamp, love these stamps. The Happy Birthday stamp is one from my stamp drawer:) MS butterfly punch, EK Success border punch, and a oval I did by hand using a pattern. I layered the gold butterflies on top of a black one, and then put a really small piece of a pop up in-between so the wings would stand up a little. I don't know that you can tell that. The sentiment on the  stamp is something my friend says all the time. She's going to love this!!

The challenges I am going to put the card in are the following:
Birthday Sundaes Challenge #16: Anything Goes
Sentimental Sunday Challenge #62: Anything Goes

My Grandson actually rode one!!

I found this cut on A Child's Year and it brought back so many memories. My Grandson had a fire engine car when he was young that he rode all around the yard. He is 17 now, riding toys are way over. Now he drives motorcycles and cars. I kinda wish he was 3 again! Here's my card.  I found a few challenges still using red, white, and blue, or summer fun. Listed below.

This a A2 card. The solid papers are all American crafts.  The checked paper is DCWV.  The little flowers are a EK Success punch, and the little pearl in the center I made with a Viva Decor pearl pen in cream. If you haven't tried this stuff it's pretty cool.

I will be putting this card in the following challenges:

Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #117: Red, white, and blue
Paper Playtime #49: Red,white, and blue
The Pink Elephant Color Challenge #106: Red,white, and blue
Getting Cricky Challenge: Summer-Time Fun
My Craft Spot Monday Challenge #15: Sunny Days

Sweet Summer Watermelon!

As I said in a earlier post I have been doing really good for a few days. I can't count on my  back and legs to cooperate with me living my life so I have to do as I can do it. If that makes sense?  So here is another card I was able to do yesterday.  I kinda like it, it's very summer to me, and bright, so it makes me happy!

The base is an  A2 out of really bright lime green. The papers are all  Bazzill. The ribbon is green gingham, I wish the picture was better. On the tan piece I used the mesh folder with the Cuttlebug. The watermelon and brown scallop on the side of the card base is from the Just Because Cards Challenge.  The banner is from the Just a Note that is preloaded on the E2 machine.  The lime green buttons are from JoAnn's. The little white dots I used my Inkssentials white pen.

I will enter this card in the following challenges:

Cooking with Cricut Challenge: Include a watermelon on your project.
Bitten by the Bug2 Challenge: Use a watermelon

Friends

This is a card I did using Kate's ABC's Cartridge. I really like this cart. It has some of the sweetest little girl, or young lady images. Yet it has so many other uses too. I've been having some good days, so I made a few cards in the past three days. Sometimes I make things hard on myself, because I like to always make at least 2 of every thing I make. That way I can give some away and still have one for a pattern. I also make cards for my sister-in-law, sister, and my daughters. So when I put little bundles together for them I need multiples.

Well enough chatter, this is the card I did. I will be entering it in some challenges if I find some it might fit.

The solid paper I used was Bazzill, and the patterned paper was from the American Girl super pad. The ovals were cut from Elegant Edges, and the Bonnet and Friends are from Kate's ABC's Cartridge. I thought it came out kinda cute, and I loved this color combo. When I was poking posies, I loved mixing red and purple, and pink and orange, you just need a anchor color. I hope you like it too.

By the way I want you all to know about a new blog I just found, and she has a huge giveaway going. Go check her out. Her blog is fantastic, she is just awesome. Creating from the Heart. Really go see her!

I will be entering this card in the following Challenges:

Paper Cutz Challenge # 97: Use Pink, Orange, White and a little Black
Phindy's Place Challenge #61: Going round in circles

The 4th of July is Coming Soon!

I made this card in honor of the 4th of July. I love all the holidays that honor or countries Heroes.  Men and women who do the hard but most worthy job of being in our military. Whether peace time or war they deserve our gratitude. So any time you see a soldier remember to say thank you for your service, and shake their hand, or touch their shoulder if they don't have one.

This is a really easy to do card. It is mainly layers of paper, the yellow paper has stars all over it, the blue mat is cuttlebugged, some buttons, a little gingham  ribbon and the image is from A Child's Year cartridge. I did cut some red to put on the flag the little boy is waving, and a blue star on top of the little wagon flag, it's hard to see but it's there:)

I will enter this card in the following challenges:

Cricut Cardz Challenge: #80: use an American flag
Designed 2 Delight: Red, White, & Blue and /or summer
Craft Us Crazy #11: Red, White, Blue or summer
Fantabulous Cricut Challenge # 66:  Red, White and Blue
